OUR FOCUS AREAS

We keep an eye on the issues
So you can protect your family.

Economic Security & Cost of Living

Federal funding freezes, DEI rollbacks, and looming agency RIFs threaten job training, housing support, and services for our most vulnerable neighbors. MOVE helps families stay afloat with real-time support—from job bulletins and rent relief guides to a tip line, legal aid, and climate cost-saving resources.

Health Access & Public Coverage (Medicaid, CHIP, WIC)

Proposals to roll back Medicaid and CHIP would disproportionately harm seniors, children, pregnant women, people with disabilities, and formerly incarcerated individuals. MOVE connects families and residents to local clinics and maternal health providers, and explain what these policy changes really mean for your household.

Education Equity & Youth Investment

Cuts to Title I, IDEA, and school-based services threaten to widen the opportunity gap for students with disabilities, non-English speakers, and low-income families. MOVE fights back by advocating for full funding and connecting families to tutoring, after-school programs, and IEP support.

Food Access & Family Nutrition

Congress is targeting SNAP and WIC with deeper restrictions and stricter work requirements that would impact the elderly, young children, people with disabilities, and formerly incarcerated residents, pushing more residents deeper into food insecurity. MOVE offers real-time updates on eligibility changes and connect residents to food pantries, mobile meal programs, farmers markets—all while promoting sustainable food access.
